Our Vision
A Thousand Miles is an international nonprofit committed to help underprivileged youth build solid foundations by providing the resources needed to excel. We believe that it takes love, kindness, and a community to help children get the opportunities they deserve. A Thousand Miles envisions a world where every child gets the opportunity to succeed. A world where underprivileged youth can flourish and nurture their talents and gifts. Our mission is to inspire hope and change in indigent communities by providing educational, medical and financial resources to underprivileged youth.
Our Story
We started off as a few family members and friends with a common goal, helping children by providing toiletries and school supplies. We quickly identified that there were more children we could help and more ways we can help. Our first school supply giveaway was in August of 2018, we were able to accommodate 50 children. In 2022, we hosted our second school supply giveaway, and increased our reached to over 90 children. After seeing the impact, we had on the community, we knew forming a nonprofit was the next step so that we can expand our reach.
